Fabric and Sizes

Fabric
The Ellaroo wrap is hand woven in Guatemala under fair trade practices in 100% cotton and uses no toxic dies. The fabric is woven for the specific purpose of becoming a baby carrier with comfort and safety in mind. You can carry up to a 35-pound child in a all carrying positions (craddle, upright facing in or out, hip, back, etc.) The fabric is durable, supportive and molds around you and baby, however it is not stretchy like some other wraps which I have found to make the whole wrap job (and baby with it) sag after a little while.  The fabric breathes well and is not too heavy, being safe to wear in warmer climates.

The wrap comes in such a variety of beautiful striped patterns that one is sure to please even the biggest fashionista!

Sizes
Ellaroo wraps come in different sizes that are recommended for a certain range of height and weight or for the type of intended carries with the wrap (see shopping cart for available sizes and specifications). The weight/height ranges are meant to indicate that withing that range one should be able to tie every carry including the multi-layered ones. Somebody outside of the range might still be able to use the wrap but may need to use a different carries.

Choose a size based on the person who will wear the baby more often. If more than one person will wear baby quite often and are of very different body builds, you may want to get each their own wrap (we offer a discount for orders or more than one wrap to encourage everybody to wear baby comfortably).
